The Lingus are a 3-piece rock band from Northern Ireland.

They create an uplifting melodic indie rock sound, blending driving guitars, soaring vocals and delicate harmonies. Their latest EP This Can't Be It was released in 2005 to critical acclaim from the Northern Irish media and received airplay on BBC Radio Ulster, Downtown Radio, Cool FM and Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music.

The band have played many venues across Northern Ireland and beyond. Live highlights include recent performances at the BelFEST 2005 festival and the NI:NG weekend in London. Their songs have been featured on various unsigned compilations including Public Service Broadcast 6, released by UK indie label Smalltown America.

"The Lingus use melody as their hook, crafting glorious pop tunes around the catchiest of choruses... definitely the kind of band you'd see and go home raving about to your friends."
Irish News

"The Lingus offer feel-good indie rock 'n' roll the way it used to be made. Sugar's brightest moments collide with Teenage Fanclub's infectious energy and enthusiasm, with a hint of The Wonder Stuff's penchant for the absurd, in a collection of melody-drenched songs you'll be humming for weeks."
Windmill Brixton

"The Lingus could be huge."
